Kadin launches digital training platform kadinfornaker.id

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) launched a digital training platform specifically for blue-collar workers called Kadin for Naker (kadinfornaker.id) on Sunday.
Kadin Indonesia Chairman, Arsjad Rasjid, explained that the platform aims to provide training and skill development that can be accessed by workers across Indonesia from various sectors and industries. “With Kadin for Naker, we hope to enhance workers’ skills in line with today’s industrial needs, thereby strengthening the link and match between the workforce and industry demands,” he said in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday.
Arsjad emphasized that while the Industrial Revolution 4.0, driven by digital technology and automation, can advance industries, it also poses potential disruptions, particularly the replacement of human resources by technology. Therefore, it is crucial to improve workers’ skills in this era of Industry 4.0, as well as to provide new skills if human labor must be substituted by digital technology and automation.
The digital platform, a collaboration between Kadin Indonesia and the Confederation of Trade Unions/Workers and supported by Pijar Foundation, is also expected to give workers opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills. In this way, families may have two sources of income—both from the head of the household and the spouse—thus improving family welfare with additional household income.
Elly Rosita Silaban, President of the National Executive Council of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSBSI), appreciated the efforts made by Kadin Indonesia and Pijar Foundation to continuously improve workers’ skills in line with industry needs. “We appreciate the concern and support given to us, the workers, to continue advancing in an ever-changing industrial era. With skill development that matches the times, we are confident workers will progress and grow,” said Elly.
Echoing Elly’s statement, Andi Gani Nena Wea, President of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers’ Unions (KSPSI), also said that the Kadin for Naker digital platform serves as a gateway to open opportunities for workers to become entrepreneurs. “The growth of new entrepreneurs will have a major impact on the creation of new jobs,” he noted. The platform is further supported by Pijar Foundation, a provider of education and personal development platforms for students and professionals, which has been operating at a national scale since 2019.
In addition to digital infrastructure, Pijar Foundation also provides access to hundreds of classes taught by industry practitioners, as well as new classes designed specifically for the Kadin for Naker program. On the platform, workers will be able to access a variety of programs to improve their capacity and skills, ranging from language learning and career development training, to personal growth programs and aptitude tests. Going forward, the platform will also provide a job marketplace to connect workers with employers.
Ferro Ferizka, Executive Director of Pijar Foundation, explained: “The talent gap—or the mismatch between workers’ skills and industry needs—is one of Pijar Foundation’s focus issues. Over the past few years, we have worked to address this through the Future Skills platform, which has reached tens of thousands of students and professionals. Through this collaboration with Kadin Indonesia, we hope to further expand efforts to empower industry drivers and accelerate Indonesia’s economic growth.”
To access the free programs on Kadin for Naker, workers must register at www.kadinfornaker.id, providing their name, mobile phone number, company of origin and job sector, as well as union affiliation.
