Indonesia Vocational Link and Match 2023

Bali, 17 November 2023. Adequate infrastructure and excellent human resources (HR) are the two main pillars that must be fulfilled to welcome Indonesia Emas 2045. As part of efforts to build shared commitment and responsibility in preparing this HR, the government issued Presidential Regulation No. 68 of 2022 on the Revitalization of Vocational Education and Training. According to this Presidential Regulation (Article 1, paragraph 1), Vocational Education refers to secondary education that prepares students primarily to work and/or become entrepreneurs in certain fields, as well as higher education that prepares students to work and/or become entrepreneurs with specific applied expertise.

The Indonesia Vocational Link and Match (IVLM) program is aimed at creating opportunities for BKK (Special Job Exchange) administrators and high school/vocational school entrepreneurship administrators to meet directly and engage in discussions with leading companies, as well as to participate in various career development activities that support the employability of vocational graduates. The IVLM will also host a three-day Virtual Job Fair, intended to support the government’s initiative to reduce unemployment and increase public engagement in the workforce.

The event is expected to provide valuable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. In addition, it also supports Special Job Exchanges (BKK) and tracer studies that help facilitate career pathways and map career development for participants.

GSC (SEA) is also participating in the Indonesia Vocational Link and Match 2023 event.
